Anne Manner
I am Anne Manner, a detective and children's author from Iisalmi. Middle age has found me and I am a woman of many roles; wife, mother of three, grandmother of three girls and one boy, foster mother of six. In the fall of 2024, I retired on a disability pension from my job as a business teacher at a vocational school.
Books have been a part of my life since I learned to read and discovered the treasure trove of books - the library! In addition to crime novels and romance novels, when I'm in the mood for reading, I even read the side of a milk carton.
I have dreamed of publishing books all my life. I wrote my first "book," Alli's Adventures, in third grade of elementary school. Alli was my alter ego and in her adventures she did everything that I, a well-behaved girl, didn't dare to do. Over time, I have written for the drawer without ever getting anything completely finished.
However, my health forced me to settle down a few years ago and at that time I wrote a children's book for the first time. About the fairy sisters in the book. The names of the fairy girls had already been born since 1994, as the fairies got their names from the baby names of my own biological daughters. In my fairy series, I want to write about things and feelings that human children encounter. I hope that my books will help children to process even difficult feelings at times.
In the same year, after the children's book, I wrote my first detective book. So I have been going to college on this subject since the Five and 3 Detectives series in elementary school. I am interested in various phenomena and the human psyche. My first three detective books; Domino Effect, Quicksand and Asphalt Jungle deal with these topics. My detective book is also a book series in which Hanna Lammi, who has returned to her hometown and graduated as a journalist, gets involved in various crimes.
After starting goal-oriented writing, I don't intend to stop it :)
