How was the book series Fairy sisters Boo-Boo, Daisy and Tiny created?

I had lovely daughters in 1994, 1996 and 2002. The eldest's nickname became Boo-Boo, because she slept, squatting, butt up. The middle child's nickname, Daisy, was born because of the daughter's slender physique. The youngest was the smallest of the siblings at birth, so the nickname became Tiny.

I had long thought that if I ever make a children's fairy tale book, I will use my own children's nicknames as the names of the main characters. So when the time was right and I wrote the first Fairy Sisters book called Boo-Boo and Daisy get a sister, I used my daughters' nicknames in the book and partly also their personalities.

Boo-Boo has been calm since she was little and has loved reading, so when she goes on adventures in my books, these qualities go with her.

Daisy, on the other hand, has been a lively busy body since she was little. She has almost white, unruly hair. These qualities are in the spotlight in my Daisy books.

Tiny is also calm, but knows how to demand what she wants. She will probably remain very small, Tiny, in my books for quite a long time, but will develop with the books. For example, in the book A friend stays overnight, which will be published in spring 2025, Tiny learned to crawl, and in the book Daisy is cranking, which will be published in spring 2025, Tiny learns to fly.

Why fairies in particular? In my fairy tale books, I want to deal with various topics and feelings that human children experience. With the help of my books, these things and sometimes even difficult feelings are easier to deal with with a child. My books are set in the fairy world because I love fairies and the fairy world also exudes a certain mysticism. It is also possible to get a nice and unique look from the picture when there are so-called normal-sized plants and forest animals among the fairies.

Now I am already a grandmother to four lovely children. The reading I started for my own children has continued as reading for my grandchildren, and their parents have also continued reading for their own children. I consider all kinds of reading extremely important for all the children of the world, because reading develops imagination, creativity and vocabulary, as well as all the other good things that a child gets from reading and listening to stories. My Fairy Sisters Boo-Boo, Daisy and Tiny book series is suitable for reading aloud to smaller children as well as for children who have learned to read themselves.
